Thank you for using weight.mate ("we," "our," or "us"). This policy describes what data the app collects and how it is handled. We do not require an account, and we never ask for your name, email, or phone number.
Your weight entries, goals, and reminder settings are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
The app sends crash reports and basic performance diagnostics to Sentry, which we use to find and fix bugs. Reports include the device model, OS version, app version, IP address, a stack trace, and a short trail of in-app actions ("breadcrumbs"). They do not include any weight values or other content you have entered. Sentry retains this data for up to 90 days and then deletes it automatically.
The app shows banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob collects your device's Advertising ID, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction events (impressions, clicks). This data is held by Google and used for ad serving and personalization. You can reset your Advertising ID in your device's privacy settings, and manage Google ad personalization at Google Ads Settings.
Where required by local privacy laws (such as the EU's GDPR), the app shows a consent dialog before personalized ads are served, and on iOS the system asks for tracking permission the first time the app runs. If you decline either, AdMob serves only non-personalized ads, which still collect the data above for ad delivery and basic measurement.
The app is not directed at children under the age of 13. Because the third-party services above collect device identifiers, we do not knowingly allow use of the app by users under 13.
If we change our privacy practices, we will update this policy and notify users via an in-app notice or website update. Any changes will take effect upon publication.
